Beta Confidentiality Agreement
Saltpig Beta Confidentiality Agreement
Version: 1.0.0 Effective date: June 1, 2026
You're getting early access to Saltpig before anyone else. This Beta Confidentiality Agreement (the "Agreement") covers what we ask of you while Saltpig is still in private beta. It is operated by Data-Monti LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as EasyModeOnly ("Saltpig", "we", "us", or "our").
By joining the beta — submitting the signup form, accepting a TestFlight or Google Play testing invitation, or using a pre-release build — you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, please don't join the beta.
A short, plain-language summary appears at the top of each section. The summary is provided for convenience only; the full text controls in case of conflict.
The first rule of Saltpig beta: we don't talk about Saltpig outside the beta. Once we publicly launch, tell everyone.
1. What this covers
Short version: While Saltpig is in private beta, the app and everything about it is confidential.
- "Confidential Information" means the Saltpig pre-release app and website, its features and screens, recipes and AI behavior, designs, branding, roadmap, pricing experiments, bugs and unreleased functionality, and anything else about Saltpig that is not yet publicly available.
- It includes anything you see, hear, or are told as a beta tester — through the app, TestFlight or Google Play testing notes, beta chats, emails, or conversations with the team.
- It does not include information that is already public, that you already lawfully knew, or that you learn independently from a source that is free to share it.
2. Keep it to yourself
Short version: Don't show, share, post, or describe the beta to people who aren't in it.
- Use the Confidential Information only to participate in the beta and give us feedback.
- Do not post screenshots, screen recordings, demos, or descriptions of the beta on social media, blogs, forums, group chats, or anywhere else public.
- Do not show the app to, or discuss it with, anyone who is not a Saltpig beta tester — including reporters, competitors, and the internet at large.
- Do not share your beta build, testing invite, or login with anyone else. The invitation is for you.
- Take reasonable care to keep the Confidential Information private, at least the same care you'd take with your own confidential information.
3. When you can talk about it
Short version: When Saltpig is public, the gag order is over — please tell everyone.
- This confidentiality obligation lasts until Saltpig (or the specific feature in question) is officially, publicly released by us, or until we tell you a specific thing is OK to share.
- Once a feature is publicly launched, you are free — and encouraged — to talk about it, post about it, and share it.
- If you're ever unsure whether something has been publicly released, ask us first at hello@easymodeonly.com.
4. Permitted disclosures
Short version: A few narrow exceptions — and you'll tell us first where you legally can.
- You may disclose Confidential Information if you are legally required to (for example, by a valid court order), but only to the extent required, and — where you're legally allowed to — you'll give us prompt notice first so we can respond.
- You may discuss the beta privately with other current Saltpig beta testers and with the Saltpig team.
5. Your feedback
Short version: Feedback you give us is ours to use, freely.
- We'd love your feedback — bugs, ideas, complaints, feature requests, all of it.
- You grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you share to operate and improve Saltpig and our other products, without any obligation or compensation to you.
- This doesn't give us rights to your own recipes or personal content beyond what the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy already cover.
6. The beta is a work in progress
Short version: It's pre-release software — expect rough edges, and don't rely on it.
- The beta is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. It may contain bugs, change at any time, or break.
- Beta data (recipes, cook history, photos, and so on) may be reset, lost, or migrated as we develop the app. Don't treat the beta as your only copy of anything important.
- We may add, change, or remove features, or end the beta or your access to it, at any time and for any reason.
7. No obligation, no partnership
Short version: Being a tester doesn't make you an employee, partner, or owner.
- Participating in the beta doesn't create any employment, partnership, agency, or joint-venture relationship between you and Saltpig.
- Nothing here obligates us to release any product or feature, or to offer you anything beyond beta access.
8. If something goes wrong
Short version: Leaks can cause real harm, so we can ask a court to stop them.
- You agree that unauthorized disclosure of Confidential Information could cause us harm that money alone can't fix, and that we may seek injunctive or other equitable relief — in addition to any other remedies — without having to post a bond.
- We may suspend or end your beta access at any time if you breach this Agreement.
9. Governing law
Short version: Texas law applies, and disputes go to Texas courts.
- This Agreement and any dispute arising out of or relating to it are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
- Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
10. Miscellaneous
- Relationship to the Terms. This Agreement supplements the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If this Agreement conflicts with the Terms on the subject of beta confidentiality, this Agreement controls during the beta.
- Changes. We may update this Agreement; the current version is always available at https://saltpig.app/beta-confidentiality. Material changes increment the minor or major version; cosmetic changes increment the patch version.
- Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.
- Contact. Questions about the beta or this Agreement? Email hello@easymodeonly.com.
